EGDA (ESSEC Geopolitics & Defense Student Association) is a French student association (association loi 1901), affiliated with ESSEC Business School on its Cergy campus (95000), France.

We collect only the data you provide voluntarily through the site's contact form:

• Name
• Email address
• Organisation (optional)
• Type of inquiry (partner or company, student, press, speaker, or other)
• Message

This information is used solely to process and respond to your request.

This site uses no tracking cookies, no advertising tracking technology, and no behavioral analytics tools (no Google Analytics, no remarketing pixels).

Your data is processed on the basis of your explicit consent, given when you submit the form (mandatory checkbox). You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us.

Your message is kept in the association's mailbox for as long as needed to handle your request, and for a maximum of 24 months, after which it is deleted. You may request earlier deletion at any time. No database stores your data: the contact form only sends an email and records nothing elsewhere.

Your data is never sold, shared, or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes. It only passes through the following technical providers, necessary to operate the site and receive your messages:

• Vercel Inc. (United States): website hosting
• Resend, Inc. (United States): delivers the contact form by email to egda.essec@gmail.com, hosted by Google LLC

The contact form does not store your data in any database: your message is sent directly by email and kept only in the association's mailbox.

These transfers outside the European Union are governed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (GDPR, Article 46).

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and French data protection law, you have the following rights:

• Right of access to your data
• Right to rectification
• Right to erasure (the “right to be forgotten”)
• Right to restriction of processing
• Right to object
• Right to data portability

If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).

This site sets no advertising, analytics, or profiling cookies.

The site's language setting (French or English) relies on a technical cookie named NEXT_LOCALE, which stores your language choice for your next visit.

When you close the notice banner shown at the bottom of the page, your browser saves, in its local storage (localStorage, not a cookie), an entry named egda-cookie-dismissed so the banner is not shown again. This information stays on your device and is never sent to EGDA.

The site is hosted on Vercel with HTTPS enforced throughout. Messages sent through Resend are encrypted in transit (TLS).

This policy may be updated from time to time; the date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
