EGDA x UN'ESSEC round table: the future of multilateralism
Round table co-organised with UN'ESSEC on the question "Can multilateral organisations still shape the global balance of power?", in partnership with the ESSEC Institute for Geopolitics & Business and AFNU (French Association for the United Nations). The evening built on a debrief of the September 2026 UN General Assembly.
Ambassador Alain Le Roy, former Executive Secretary-General of the European External Action Service, opened the evening with a keynote. The round table, moderated by journalist and senior reporter Gallagher Fenwick, brought together Ambassador Daniel Jouanneau, senior fellow at the ESSEC Institute for Geopolitics & Business, Aurélien Colson, ESSEC professor and director of the IRENE centre, and Elisabeth Hege, research lead at IDDRI. Around a hundred students attended. The discussion continued with a Q&A session and a cocktail. The event was coordinated by Alexis Foriel-Destezet and Sullyvan Buckwell for UN'ESSEC, and Noème Fages and Paul Bogillot for EGDA.
